Cloverdale Athletic Club/Baltimore Basketball Association, Inc.

CELEBRATING OVER SIXTY YEARS
OF ORGANIZED BASKETBALL!

PHILOSOPHY

“Teach Every Man’s Child” is the philosophy of the Cloverdale AC/BBA, Inc. Through discipline, sportsmanship and team play, we want to provide role models for urban youth. Using playground basketball (“The City Game”) as our vehicle, we believe that a strong athletic foundation and a viable sports program can serve as a positive influence in the community and can be used to teach responsibility, discipline, and fundamental basketball.

HISTORY

“The City Game” in Baltimore for community youth and young adults has been an active program for many years. “The City Game” is played on the playground in the summer and each participant must give of their time, talent, and discipline to play. The BBA is an outgrowth of the Cloverdale Summer Basketball League which was organized in 1958 as the first playground league featuring college, high school, professional, and local talent. Today the two have merged to form Cloverdale AC/BBA, Inc.
